According to Ima Magazine, Arbana Osmani received an offer from Albanian broadcaster to host the 53rd Festivali i Kenges in December 2014. Arbana is a well known TV presenter who hosted all seasons of Big Brother Albania, which makes her one of the icons of the private television Top Channel.

RTSH would like to see Arbana Osmani as the host of Festivali i Kenges to attract attention, and bring a new glow to the show. RTSH involved many different personalities to host FiK in the past. Ima Magazine reminds about talented composers (as Pirro Cako), popular TV host or actors (as Adi Krasta) and the most popular singers on the Albanian music scene.

Unfortunately, in last few years Festivali i Kenges is not as impressive as it was in the past. Old-fashioned formula is not attractive for popular singers and composers, and the results of low interest and poor quality of songs can be seen at Eurovision Song Contest. Last two Albanian entries failed to qualify for the final. Ima Magazine predicts that even if Arbana Osmani will host the show, RTSH has to work hard to convince famous singers to take part in Festivali i Kenges.

Albanian best result is 5th place from Baku for Rona Nishliu and “Suus”. This year Albania failed to qualify to the final when Hersi Matmuja finished second last in the semifinal.
