Junior debut for Slovenia!

After Italy and Montenegro, Slovenia has decided to make their debut at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest that will be held in Malta, this November.

The official website of the competition has confirmed that RTVSLO will be attending the contest. Not much is known about the song or the little artist that will represent the country, but it will definitely be chosen internally by the Entertainment and Children’s department of the Slovenian broadcaster.

It has been reported that the country has been approached by the Executive Supervisor of the contest last month, while he was on holiday in Croatia. It seemed an opportunity not to miss, as stated by Vladislav Yakovlev, and explaining the full potential and figures of the event has helped RTVSLO made up their mind.

There are still a few countries that have not yet confirmed whether they intend to participate or not in this year contest, but the Junior Eurovision team seems to be spot on negotiating with as many country as possible to make this a record edition!
