The book “Conchita Wurst – Backstage” is now available!

The winner of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, Conchita Wurst, has her biography published today! This book was written by Mario R. Lackner, and “Dr. Eurovision” – Irving Wolther, as a tribute to the bearded Diva, the Austrian Eurovision winner.

Lackner and Wolther say that “Conchita Wurst – Backstage” is a book about a strong artist that breaks  all standards. They say that Conchita Wurst moves our world – she irritates, fascinates, and uses the biggest stage in the world – the Eurovision Song Contest, to share her message of freedom, love, and acceptance.

The book explains everything that happened “Backstage” – who are all those people who co-created Conchita, what drives them, how did they come together. It also gives a look to Conchita’s hometown, family, and friends.

The book also speaks about how Conchita’s longtime drag friend Tamara Mascara, explains that Conchita was not a drag act in Copenhagen, but a woman, and that a glamorous, beautiful, eternal drama lives in her message, demonstrating that nothing is impossible.

This book also addresses Conchita’s political message, and the outrage of some countries towards Conchita, and her victory in the Eurovision Song Contest.

This biography contains a total of 185 pages, and you can buy your copy for only 19.80 Euros. At the moment, this book is only available in German, but we were informed that a there are plans to have this book translated in English as well.
