Can Ira Losco still enter Eurovision in 2015? She can!

The shortlist of 48 entries in Malta was released last night, and a surprise for everyone was that the heavily rumoured comeback of Ira Losco in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest – didn’t happen! However, she can still be one of the 20 semi finalists in the Maltese Eurovision national selection!

Ira Losco has asked fans for their views on Eurovision on her official Facebook page two days ago. Her name however did not appear on PBS’s shortlist of 48 songs to make it to the second phase of the national selection.

The rules of Malta Eurovision Song Contest claim that PBS can award a wildcard to any artist, and to any song! This rule was there in the past three years as well, however no one has received a wildcard  for the national selection so far. New rumours are now spreading how she is going to be the first one to get the privilege to receive a wildcard, and take part in the semi final of Malta Eurovision Song Contest!

Ira Losco represented Malta in Eurovision 2002 with “7th Wonder”, where she finished second, 12 points behind the winner from Latvia. If Ira Losco receives a wildcard, we shall see her in Xarabank on TVM on the 3rd of October, where all the semi finalists are going to be announced.

Would you like to see Ira back in the national final, and maybe representing Malta for the second time in the Eurovision Song Contest?
