The Voice of Poland with Eurostars

5th season of the popular talent-show “The Voice of Poland” will start on September 6th with two Eurovision divas as coaches. For the first time Edyta Gorniak (pictured – she took part in Eurovision 1994 with “To nie ja” and achieved 2nd place) and Justyna Steczkowska (Eurovision 1995 with “Sama”) will take part in the same season.

Edyta Gorniak was a coach in the 3rd season, while Justyna Steczkowska was a coach in the 2nd and the 4th season. None of them were the winner coach, but TVP2 hopes to reach more tv-viewers thanks to Edyta and Justyna. There are rumours about the two of them having conflicts between each other, but both Edyta and Justyna denied them, trying to convince the audience about their friendship. Among coaches we can find also Tomson & Baron, musicians from the band Afromental (they took part in the Polish national final in 2008).

Tomasz Kammel will host this show again. This popular male presenter hosted Eurovision Young Dancers 2013 in Gdansk, as well as some of the Polish national finals for the Eurovision Song Contest.

“The Voice” gathered many Eurovision stars as coaches but also as participants. Several new seasons already started or will start soon across Europe. Third season of the Armenian version will see Eva Rivas (2010) and Hayko (2007) as coaches. In Bulgaria this role in its third season is taken by Miro (2010) and DesiSlava (who took part in the Bulgarian national final in 2012), in Israel by Sarit Hadad (2002), in Lithuania by Donny Montell (2012), in the Netherlands by Ilse de Lange (2014) and in Romania by Loredana Groza (a participant in a couple of Romanian national finals). Russia will once again use “The Voice” to select their singer for Eurovision. The winner of “Golos 3” will represent this country in Vienna. Dima Bilan (the winner of Eurovision 2008) will once again take part in the show as a coach. It’s worth to mention that many Eurovision participants started their careers in this talent show, but there are also ones who took part in Eurovision first, and then took part in The Voice – Magdalena Tul (represented Poland in 2011, and took part in The Voice in 2013), and Rui Drumond (represented Portugal in 2005 as part of 2B, and won The Voice in 2014).
