Elena Risteska in “Your Face Sounds Familiar”

Elena Risteska will take part in second season of the Serbian version of “Your Face Sounds Familiar”, which starts tomorrow on TV Prva. Since to the participation of the Macedonian singer, this show will be broadcast on the Macedonian Sitel TV as well. In the first episode Elena will act as Severina from Croatia, her competitor in Eurovision 2006 in Athens. It’s worth to mention that those two Balkan stars participated together in the final of Eurovision 2006 and both finished with the same result – 56 points and 12th place.

Unfortunately Elena will not perform “Moja Štikla” on Sunday. “It was hard to imitate Severina, especially because I didn’t know the song. I’ve heard it for the first time now. I’m working hard to try and be like the original” – Elena said to “Dnevnik”. Despite being the only Macedonian act among participants on this show, Elena said she enjoys the atmosphere and people around her. It is the first time that Sitel TV joined the Serbian project of “Your Face Sounds Familiar”. Thanks to that, participants will also get tasks to imitate a couple of Macedonian singers as well.

The first season of “Your Face Sounds Familiar” was a huge success in Serbia. 10 participants worked very hard to entertain a massive number of viewers, and to help different charity organisations, as the price in every episode and in the final was to donate money to who needs it the most. There were lots of Eurovision performances in the first season i.e. Ruslana (Eurovision 2004), Laka (Eurovision 2008), Loreen (Eurovision 2012), Hari Mata Hari (Eurovision 2006), Bebi Dol (Eurovision 1991), Marija Serifovic (Eurovision 2007) or Milan Stankovic (Eurovision 2010). Sara Jovanovic, part of the group Moje 3 (Eurovision 2013) participated in this show and finished second after Ana Kokic.
