The Albanian national brodcaster RTSH has finally confirmed that they will be present in Eurovision in Vienna, and that their traditional Festivali i Kenges will once again be used as their selection method for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Festivali i Kenges will be over three nights this year – 26, 27 and the 28th of December. This will be the 53rd Festivali i Kenges, and, as we reported earlier, will most probably going to be hosted by Arbana Osmani. The participant list of Festivali i Kenges will be released shortly.

This year’s Festivali i Kenges will get us the 12th Albanian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. Hersi Matmuja won last year’s festival with “Zemerimi i nje nate”, which was later changed into English as “One Night’s Anger”. Hersi unfortunately didn’t qualify for the Final in Copenhagen.
