RTVSlo has previously sent a preliminary confirmation to the EBU that they will most likely be in Vienna next year, and moments ago they have officially confirmed their participation as well!

The way the next Slovenian entrant is going to be selected is yet to be announced. The way of selecting the entry will be announced in a few week’s time, or by the date of confirmation of the production plan of RTVSlo for next year.

Slovenia had their Eurovision debut in 1993, and missed only two contests since – in 1994 and in 2000. Their best results came in 1995 with Darja Svajger and “Prisluhni mi”, and in 2001 with Nusa Derenda and “Energy” – when both of these artists finished 7th. Slovenia organized EMA last year, which was won by Tinkara Kovac with “Spet (Round And Round)”. Tinkara qualified for the Final of Eurovision 2013, and finished 25th.
