The Danish national broadcaster DR have just announced the two hosts of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, which will be held on the 7th of February in Gigantium Arena in Aalborg. Esben Bjerre joins Jacob Riising, who hosted Dansk Melodi Grand Prix last year as well.
This is only the second time in the history of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix that the show will feature two male hosts – the first time being in 2006, when the hosts were Adam Duvå Hall and Mads Vangsø.
The first time Dansk Melodi Grand Prix host, Esben Bjerre said:
The first thing I thought when I got the offer to host Dansk Melodi Grand Prix was: I would really like to do it! Jacob is trained in the showbiz game, and I’m the new guy. I am sure that it will be terrific.
Dansk Melodi Grand Prix is getting a revamp for next year, as a new logo, and a new slogan have already been presented. The Entertainment Manager at DR, Mr. Jan Lagermand Lundme, said that they have spent the last months developing and refining the “entertainment crown jewel”, in order to make this year’s selection even better than before.
