NERIT granted EBU membership – Greece will be in Vienna!

The General Assembly of the EBU has decided to grant NERIT, the new Greek national broadcaster formed last year, an active membership in the EBU, which means that Greece is allowed to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.

After a special permission to take part last year, the EBU was a lot more strict towards the Greek broadcaster this year. Unless they were granted active membership by the EBU, we wouldn’t have seen Greece in Vienna.

The Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest, Mr. Jon Ola Sand said:

We’re glad to have Greece joining the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. Their dedication to the biggest music event in the world has been impressive throughout the years.

Freaky Fortune and RiskyKidd represented Greece in Eurovision in Copenhagen with the song “Rise Up”. Who would you like to see representing Greece next year?
