Sanremo 2015 names revealed.

During the sunday afternoon programme “L’arena”, Carlo Conti, the host for the 2015 edition of Sanremo, has revealed the names of the artists competing during the italian five nights event.

After receiving the entries, the host has requested a small change in the rules of the contest, rising to 20 the number of songs in the “champions” category. Six out of 20 names come from italian talent shows such as Amici di Maria de Filippi (the same show that launched Emma Marrone’s career, being represented by Annalisa, Dear Jack and Moreno), X Factor (with Chiara and Lorenzo Fragola) and Ti lascio una canzone (from which many Junior Eurovision artists from Malta, Italy and San Marino came from, in Sanremo with Il Volo).

Other names are veterans of the show (Malika Ayane, Marco Masini, Nek, Gianluca Grignani, Alex Britti, Raf, Anna Tatangelo and Irene Grandi), while surprisingly the 1988 entrant for Luxembourg, Lara Fabian, has received a spot. Other two surprises for the italian public are Grazia Di Michele with Mauro Coruzzi (well known for his drag act Platinette) and the Biggio & Mandelli, a pair of comedians from the MTV Italy show “I soliti idioti”.

Nina Zilli, the italian entry for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest will also be present on stage, next February.

This is the final lists of entries:
