Sweet Brains and Milki big favorites to qualify for the final

First part of the auditions is finished in Belarus, and the jury has listened through 50 songs and performances. According to Onliner.by, two bands managed to attract the biggest attention among journalists and observers.

Alexander Rybak’s girlband Milki performed “Accent” in English and Belarusian. The 2009 Eurovision winner came to Minsk to support his band. He said that he first recorded this song in one of the best Swedish studios in Malmo, and then started to look for five beautiful and talented girls in Belarus. Sweet Brains is a band which performed wearing costumes inspired by zombies and “The Walking Dead”. Their song is “Run away”, and is in Aqua-style. “People say that Belarusian show-business is dead so here we go. Generally we are zombies, we haven’t got brains, so we don’t want to do any interviews” – said one of the members of Sweet Brains. He added that he wishes to meet Conchita Wurst, as he heard that Eurovision 2014 winner has – a delicious beard! Check zombie’s “Run away” below:

The band Strogo Bobruisk created by the poet Dimitriy Rudakovsky received a big applause as well. He was asked about his opinion of Rise Like A Phoenix. “It was a very classy and a beautiful song. Belarusians have to learn how to write good songs” – the poet said.

Many other more or less popular/freaky/talented singers and bands performed today i.e. 59-year old rock-lady, duo Drug.ie, Uzari and Maymuna or duo Misters. Still more and more songs submitted to the Belarusian National Final can now be found online. You can check out some of them below:

The second and final part of  the auditions before the Belarusian National Final will be held tomorrow from 11:00 till 16:00 CET at tvr.by. Participants will present their songs to the jury, and fight for the spot in the final which will be held on 26th December. Official results will be announced  in “Panorama” on 5th of December at 20:00 CET (21:00 local time). No more than 15 artists will qualify for the national final.
