Doda received offer from TVP

The popular Polish singer Doda revealed in an interview for First Channel of Polish Radio (active member of EBU) that she was asked by Polish Television to participate in the 2015 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. She also said that she would love to represent Poland in Vienna and that she already has an idea for her staging. Dorota Rabczewska (Doda’s real name) said that she is not hesitant to take part in Eurovision, that she is very confident and self-assured,  and that her 3 minutes on stage will be used to its full capacity.

Doda is famous for her very energetic and spectacular performances, but for that, she would need funds provided to fulfill her ideas for her stage performance. However, Doda didn’t mention what she answered to TVP in regard to the question relating to Eurovision.

Doda’s interview can be seen as a little hint for who will be Poland’s entrant. Polish Radio is an active member of the European Broadcasting Union, and today was the first time the ratio station played a song by the performer.

Today’s interview was led by Maria Szablowska, a long-term jury member who actively selected past Eurovision entries. What’s also worth to mention is that Doda was also offered to represent Poland in Copenhagen but, in the end, TVP sent Donatan & Cleo with “My Slowianie – We Are Slavic” instead.

The singer supported the duo during Eurovision final by uploading a picture of her in a national outfit, just as Cleo’s dancers had on the stage in Denmark.

According to Polish Television, the official decision regarding Polish entry will be announced in the beginning of March.
