We have the first three finalists of Söngvakeppnin 2015!

Tonight we saw the 1^stSemi-Final of Söngvakeppnin 2015, the Icelandic pre-selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2015.

The first 3 finalists are:

Friðrik Dór – Í siðasta skipti

Björn og félagar – Piltur og stúlka

Elín Sif – Í kvöld

Next Saturday the 2^nd Semi-final will take place and we will know another 3 direct finalists. Then a jury will give one wildcard to one of the rest 6 participants. On February, 14^th we will know who is going to represent Iceland in Eurovision Song Contest 2015.

I’ve been into Eurovision since 2000 when Alsou made a huge breakthrough for Russia on Eurovision stage. Since 2008 I started to follow Eurovision national selections as well, and it was a point of no return. Thanks to this Contest I discovered a lot of good music and also many (if not most) of my friends. It’s difficult to name my favorite song but I prefer guitar or ethnic music. But I can definitely name the capital city, flag colors and best Eurovision entry for each country!
