María Ólafsdóttir will represent Iceland in Eurovision 2015!

Tonight Iceland selected their entry for Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna! It’s María Ólafsdóttir with the song “Unbroken” which will be performed in English in Vienna.

The winner was decided in the Super-final by the 100% televoting. There were two out of seven participants who made it to the super-final with a 50/50 mix of televoting and jury votes and they are Friðrik Dór with “Once Again” and María Ólafsdóttir with “Unbroken”.

I’ve been into Eurovision since 2000 when Alsou made a huge breakthrough for Russia on Eurovision stage. Since 2008 I started to follow Eurovision national selections as well, and it was a point of no return. Thanks to this Contest I discovered a lot of good music and also many (if not most) of my friends. It’s difficult to name my favorite song but I prefer guitar or ethnic music. But I can definitely name the capital city, flag colors and best Eurovision entry for each country!
