Amina Annabi returns to the music scene after a 15 year break

Amina Annabi, the French representative at the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest held in Rome, released her new music collection after a 15-year long pause. Amina’s remarkable and original tracks were written and produced in collaboration with the award-winning beatboxer, producer, songwriter and performer from Great Britain – MaJiKer (Matthew Ker.)

These two musicians met in Paris and embarked on a playful music adventure by blending vocal sounds from different corners of the world with catchy tunes and organic beats, creating an inventive and deeply personal musical mix.

From the lyrically sentimental track “Unveil” to the poppy “Nour-Reborn” (co-written by the songwriter Irish Eurovision participant Jonas Gladnikoff,) over the soothing lullaby “Byssan Lull” and the vocal symphony “Made In Shaman,” Amina and MaJiKer have created a joyful and unusually captivating set of tracks.

In 1991, Amina rose to international success with her much-loved Eurovision entry “C’est le dernier qui a parlé,” which tied at the top of the voting table together with the eventually counter-back winner Sweden. Regardless of ending up second in the contest that year, the song eventually became one of the favourite and most remembered songs of the time.
