The 1997 Italian Eurovision entrants, Jalisse, have started a competition where they are looking for lyrics for the International Year of Light 2015 literary contest.
This competition is open for all amateur authors and poets who would like to express “light” in lyrical form, taking inspiration from themes of the UN-declared International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies 2015. People contracted to record labels, or any other musical, producing or editorial societies can not enter this competition.
A jury consisting of Jalisse, producer Roberto Gasparini, and members of the organization of the International Year of Light will select the best poem, which will be transformed into a song. The song will be composed and sung by Jalisse.
You must be at least 18 years old to enter this competition, and in order to take part you need to fill out this form (click), and send it to info@crescerecreativi.net no later than the 30th of June.
Jalisse represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1997 with the fan favourite “Fiumi di parole”, which ended up in 4th place.
