Eurovision and A Dal stars in “Your Face Sounds Familiar” in Hungary!

The third season of one of the most popular TV shows in Hungary – “Sztárban sztár” (Your Face Sounds Familiar) is starting in a couple of weeks time, and the 12 acts to be taking part in this show have been revealed. The line-up includes two former Hungarian Eurovision entrants, as well as various contestants in A Dal!

The fan favourite of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, Kati Wolf will be one of the 12 contestants in “Sztárban sztár”, alongside Gergo Racz – the composer of her Eurovision entry “What About My Dreams“, who was also a member of the band V.I.P. who represented Hungary in Eurovision back in 1997 with “Miert kell, hogy elmenj?“, Csezy’s backing vocalist in Belgrade 2008, and also tried to represent Hungary as a soloist in 2013, and as a member of Fool Moon in 2014 and 2015.

Another two participants in this show have previously taken part in A Dal. The first one is Gabi Toth, who was one of the eight finalists in 2012 with her hit “Nem kell vegszo“, and who said in various interviews that it is her childhood dream to represent Hungary in Eurovision. The second one is Laci Gaspar, who competed in A Dal 2013 together with Plastikhead with the song “A szeretet el” and unfortunately didn’t make it to the finals.

The winner of the last edition of Sztárban sztár was Dénes Pál, who was a finalist of A Dal both in 2013 and 2014. One of his “tasks” was the Hungarian Eurovision entry from 2013 – ByeAlex’s “Kedvesem“. Here is his performance:
