Sylwia Grzeszczak and Margaret rule out Eurovision 2016?

Two popular female singers will most likely refuse the potential offer from Polish broadcaster TVP to represent Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. One is Margaret, last year’s OGAE Poland favorite who said in recent interview she doesn’t feel like taking part in this competition as she believes there are more suitable singers in Poland worth to go to Sweden and she will always support them. You can check Margaret’s newest song and videoclip below:

Popular Eurovision blog Dziennik Eurowizyjny made the poll for it’s readers to select the ideal Polish representative for Stockholm. After several steps and exciting votings Sylwia Grzeszczak won that title beating famous singer Doda (2nd place) and Polish 1994 entry Edyta Górniak (3rd place). Polish-Czech singer Ewa Farna, Margaret and the winner of “Pop Idol 3” Brodka reached remain top6 positions. Polish media informed about this poll’s results claiming that Sylwia Grzeszczak could be very good choice indeed.

Yesterday Sylwia Grzeszczak confirmed previous rumors about her pregnancy and she cancelled all scheduled concerts in 2015. She asked her fans to be patient and assured they will be able to meet her again next year. Probably she won’t be able to get involved in the Eurovision 2016. Check her latest song with Sound’n’Grace which will represent Poland in the OGAE Song Contest 2015:

Edyta Górniak and Doda remain the fan favorites to represent Poland in Stockholm. Both of them were interested in Vienna’s Eurovision but Polish Television decided to select Monika Kuszynska with her ballad “In the name of love” which ranked 23rd in the final. TVP did not confirmed Polish participation in Stockholm yet but it will most likely take part with the same formula of internal selection. Probably another big name will be involved as two previous entrants – Donatan & Cleo (2014) and Monika Kuszynska (2015) managed to gather millions of Polish viewers. This year’s final has been watched by almost 6,1 millions tv-viewers in Poland.

Worth to mention, Poland have never taken part in Eurovision hosted by it’s oversea neighbour Sweden. This country was excluded in 2000 (Stockholm) due to previous poor results and simply did not send it’s entry to Malmo (2013) with no specific reason. Third time lucky?
