Petya Dikova and Boris Soltariyski hosted the final and jury gave their comments after each performance. 12 finalists presented cover songs (with live orchestra) singing in many different languages: English, Bulgarian, Serbian and Russian. We’ve heard many international hits and local songs but also two winning Eurovision entries – “Heroes” by Mans Zelmerlow (Sweden 2015) and “Molitva” by Marija Serifovic (Serbia 2007). Two candidates decided to cover songs by Filip Kirkorov (Russia 1995) and Tose Proeski (Macedonia 2007). You can see all performances HERE. Last year’s Bulgarian entrant Krisia Todorova performed during Interval Act and has been introduced as the girl who brought Junior Eurovision to Bulgaria.

After the televoting viewers were able to follow jury’s negotiations even if advertisement break was previously scheduled. Slavi Trifunov, main star of bTV and one of jury member decided to talk with other juries publicly what was visibly uncomfortable for two host especially when jury members started to argue and shout at each other. After 15 minutes they finally reached the agreement and decided about points.

Worth to mention – one of the jury member was Orlin Pavlov, lead singer of band Kaffe which represented Bulgaria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with “Lorraine” and failed to qualify to the final. The whole National Selection was organized by private broadcaster bTV in collaboration with EBU member BNT (public broadcaster) who has the right to take part in Junior Eurovision Song Contest and will host the show in Sofia this November.
