Hungary calls for songs for A Dal!

MTVA, the Hungarian national broadcaster started their call for songs for A Dal 2016, the national selection which will determine Hungary’s Eurovision entry for Stockholm.

MTVA has released the rules and regulations for entering the national selection – A Dal 2016, and apart from the standard Eurovision rules, the singers wishing to enter A Dal have to have Hungarian citizenship, or Hungarian has to be their native language. They must also have previously released albums, songs, having radio plays, or has a contract signed with a record label or a recognized music manager.

The composers of the songs can be of any nationality. If the lyrics of the entered songs are in English, or a language other than Hungarian, Hungarian lyrics have to be provided as well.

All parties interested in taking part in A Dal 2016 may submit their songs no later than the 25th of November at midnight. In order to submit your entry, you need to print out, fill and sign this form (click), send in your song in both wav and mp3 formats on a CD, together with the lyrics of the song and it’s Hungarian lyrics as well (if the song is in another language), photos and biographies of all the performer(s) as well as the composer(s) and lyricist(s), and the video clip of the song also on a CD (if a video clip is already made).

If an artist or composer wishes to submit more than one song, it is mandatory to fill in a separate submission form for each song. The audio and mp3 files, lyrics, photos and biographies can be submitted on one CD if the song titles and the relevant information are clearly indicated.

Personal delivery of the envelopes at the reception of MTVA’s headquarters will be accepted between 23-25 November, from 10:00 to 18:00.
