Is this going to be another year without Bosnia & Herzegovina in Eurovision?

Even though the national broadcaster of Bosnia & Herzegovina BHRT have submitted all the documents confirming their preliminary participation, the broadcaster have announced today that they will most probably not going to be in Eurovision in Stockholm in 2016.

After intensive talks between BHRT, and the EBU which granted the Bosnian broadcaster an extended deadline until the end of October to find sponsors who would offer financial help to the broadcaster to take part in the Contest, BHRT has withdrawn their application today.

However, BHRT made a public call to all interested sponsors to approach them until the end of the month, in order to be part of the Eurovision project, and promote themselves in the best, and most watched programmes on BHRT.

The final decision on participation will be made by the end of October.

The last time Bosnia & Herzegovina took part in Eurovision was in 2012, when Maya Sar represented her country with the song “Korake ti znam”.
