Poli Genova, a know face to Eurovision fans, has gotten the honour of hosting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Poli Genova represented Bulgaria in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 with her song song ”Na Inat”. As a coincidental matter of fact, Poli joined children’s vocal group Bon-Bon, who have represented Bulgaria in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in the 2007 edition in Rotterdam.

Poli has been singing since the age of 4 and besides gaining experience with Bon-Bon, she has graduated from Lubomir Pipkov National School of Music, her specialisation being the clarinet, and obtained a NAFTA degree in film production. To this day, she still works with her first producer Rosie Karaslavova.

Upon her appointment as Junior Eurovision host, Poli says she’s happy Bulgaria is hosting the most prestigious contest for young artists in Europe and that BNT found her the right person to host it. Excited about what’s awaiting her, she exlaims: “I can wait to discover this event and I am sure it will be unforgetable! Let’s support the young artists together because they are our future.”
A few months ago, auditions to find a suitable host where held. The producers of the show where very impressed by Poli, naming amongst other things her excellent English, her confidence on stage which made her shine and the fact that she is a natural in front of the camera as reasons why they see her as the perfect person to appeal to a teenage audience.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria on the 21st of November.
