Donny Montell confirms his Eurovision 2016 plans!

Donny Montell, Lithuanian entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku confirmed he wants to do Eurovision again. “Shortly after Eurovision I had the thoughts to come back, but I wanted to wait for the right song. It took 3 years but now I have it – it’s safe on my computer” – he posted on his Facebook profile. Donatas submitted his entry to LRT last week. According to new rules of Lithuanian National Final, he is allowed to present the same song duing the whole show. The song and the videoclip (recorded in Stockholm) will be premiered this Friday. LRT will close the submissions process tomorrow, 1st December.

28-years old Donny Montell participated in Lithuanian National Finals four times already. In 2009 he finished second with “Remember Last Time” but he also sang “Dainų daina” with Rosita Čivilytė. His participation in 2010 finished with disqualification of the entry “Running fast” (he performed this song in 2009 at the musical contest in Bosnia already) but in 2011 Donny decided to take part in the show with two songs once again – he finished 5th with “Let me” and 10th with “Best Friends” as a duo with Sasha Song. In 2012 his song “Love is blind” won the Lithuanian selection, proceed to the final of Eurovision in Baku (3rd place in the semifinal – Lithuanian best placing ever) and ranked 14th which is third-best result for this country so far.
