Alexander Ivanov is YOUR winner in Belarus!

The Final of the Belarusian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest is going to take place tonight in Minsk. The show will start at 20:00 CET (22:00 local time), and ten acts will compete for becoming the 13th Eurovision entrant for Belarus.

In the past couple of weeks, ESCBubble ran a poll where you could vote for your favorite of the 10 songs in the Belarusian selection. Now, we can say that with 43,49% of all votes, your winner is Alexander Ivanov and his song “How To Fly”! Anastasia Malashkevich and her song “Pray For Love” finished in second place with 15,99%, while Kirill Yermakov finished in third with 11,71% of the votes. Here is the full ranking:

43,49% Alexander Ivanov
15,99% Anastasiya Malashkevich
11,71% Kirill Yermakov
7,25% Napoli
6,88% Radiovolna
6,69% Alexey Gross
5,20% Navi
1,30% Valeriya Sadovskaya
0,93% The Em
0,56% Sasha Zakharik

Six of our editors (Anne, Danny, Ervin, Frederico, Maciej and Mikael) have also cast their votes in Eurovision style, and the outcome was as follows:

53 pts. Navi
50 pts. Anastasiya Malashkevich
39 pts. Napoli
38 pts. Alexander Ivanov
37 pts. Kirill Yermakov
35 pts. Radiovolna
33 pts. Alexey Gross
31 pts. Valeriya Sadovskaya
18 pts. The Em
14 pts. Sasha Zakharik

Our team would send the only song that’s not in English – “Gyeta zyamlya” by Navi, and they were the favourites of three of our editors. Anne loves the simplicity and the harmonies of “Gyeta zyamlya”, while Mikael thinks the song is very catchy and both singers have great vocals. Danny added that Navi’s song is a catchy feel-good authentic song and quite different to anything Belarus have sent before.

You can still cast your votes, as our poll will remain open until the show has finished tonight. We will be live blogging throughout the show, and we will translate for you everything that happens in the show, so stay with us tonight.
