- Valeriya Sadovskaya – Not alone
- Radiovolna – Radiowave (Ne shodi s uma)
- The EM – Turn Around

In this rolling blog, you will be able to find out about everything that’s happening in Minsk (we will translate it into English), and you can also tell us whether you agree or disagree with our views on the songs!
Good evening everyone, and welcome to our live blog of the Belarusian final! 🙂
Good evening! Get ready for 2 hours show! 🙂
I’m guessing we’ll be a couple of minutes late 😀 After all, it is Belarus 😉
So now you can see a TV programme about one Belarussian group that does not compete tonight 🙂 stay tuned!
And off we go! 🙂
Just a reminder: 100% televoting! Berussians will vote for 30 mins after all the songs are performed! SMS and calls.
Video surprise from Uzari, who is in Munich right now!
Uzari, who is in Munich now, said that his heart is with the contestants tonight! Teo said Good shopping to him 😀

This is a brand new song from the host duo. Very typical for Belarus 😉
I genuinely think that this song will do good to song number 1!
The first on stage is Alexey Gross! It’s his third attemp to win the Belarussian ticket to Eurovision. He is sure he will win tonight!

number 2 is Sasha Zaharik, who 7 years ago participated in the national preselection when her band got naked on the stage! It’s not that usual for Belarus 😀
Sasha went for a retro-looking outfit at the start, and as the chorus kicks in she takes the beret comes off, and she’s in a white dress. The staging features plenty of smiling yellow stars in the backdrop. I’m guessing this performance should give you a happy feeling, but her vocals are unfortunately killing everything off. This song would probably never work in Eurovision.
#3 Valeriya Sadovskaya participaed in The Voice Ukraine. Will it help her tonight?
Out of the 3 first songs I’m most impressed with the number 3. But it’s a bit old fashioned, more 00s. Alexey didn’t show anything extraordinary, and number 2 is not for Eurovision.
Valeriya has the stage covered in dry ice at the start. Her vocals were more-or-less spot on (until the high tunes started), and she is actually better than her song! She is alone on stage, but she manages to fill it out well. When the song turns its tempo in the chorus, it just sounds very good. I quite enjoyed this one.
The first ad! I bet Maltese would have showed it 2-3 times by the 4th song!
Oh, Daria, there would have been at least three Mediterranean Banks by now in Malta!
And we’re back from this short break!
We are back! The hosts are trying to joke and guess how does Eurovision smell.
#4 Band Radiovolna, which means “Radiowave” in English and it’s the title of their first song. They are new for Belarus 😉
The guys of Radiovolna actually made the audience cheer and dance as the song started! The lead singer is really enjoying the stage, and knows how to work the camera well! His vocals are also on spot.
ok, I would vote for #4. Hipster styled boys singing a song that I would describe as a mix of Maroon 5 and Max Barskikh (remember him from the Ukranian preselections?).
5 – The EM duo have a lot of hidden opportunities as they’ve been announced 😀
The EM – their vocals are probably the most powerful ones so far. The song is just pure drama, and the guys manage to transmit it on stage together with their two backing vocalists. I quite enjoyed this one as well, more than the studio version…
The EM would find a big support from the Eurovision community. Egor and Mikhail (2 guys) showed a bit unusual performance for a country like Belarus. Do you know that the name of the duo comes from the first letters of their names?
Navi goes 6 tonight! They will sing in Belarussian. For the last 2 years they gained a hule poplarity and released 2 albums.
And the only song in Belarusian is on! Lots of colours in the backdrop for this duo. There is something happy and adorable about this song, and their performance! I really like the fact that both of them are smiling throughout their peformance, and gives me a similar feeling that Gianluca’s performance did three years ago!
Navi is my fave so far. There was a big company among Belarussian Eurovision fans to support the band. And Navi deserve it! It’s time to remember that my grangrandad came from Belarus 🙂
The winner of the tonight show will get the prize of high rotation on a radio. Other participants will also get a higher rotation.
Lucky 7 number might be very lucky for Ivan. He will mix Ivengo and one russian ancient hero 😉
ok ok, another good performance! The producer of Ivan is Viktor Drobysh from Russia (a very famous one). I like the idea of the entry, but there is a room for improvement! e.g. another outfit.
So, Alexander Ivanov changed his name to Ivan…
eternal number 8 for Anastasia Malashkevich. She was 2nd last year, and today is her 3rd attempt to win the preselection. She has lost 15 kilos since last year, got in love and…her partner made proposal!
#8 – not my type, I don’t like when electronic music is used in this way, I don’t like too much screaming. But it’s just a matter of taste 😉
Anastasiya is the best vocalist of the night by far, as there is not a single tune of this demanding song she couldn’t sing! I really like how electronic this song is, and it fits her voice perfectly. This is a proper power injection, but is it good enough to win tonight?
#9 Kirill Ermakov tried to go to JESC 3 times! Unsuccessfully. He is always compared with Teo btw 😉
And Kirill bring the first proper choreography on the stage! Even though he jumps and dances a lot, he doesn’t lose his breath, and can still sing perfectly even at the end. This one is a proper upbeat track that would absolutely be a big hit in the EuroClub in Eurovision. However, I’m afraid the lyrics don’t really make much sense, but then again we had worse ones in the past in Eurovision 😉
9 – Kirill is a junior version of Sergey Lazarev. In other words – very very very typical pop-dancy tune with a male vocal. Not good enough to be compared with Swedish boys though.
The last but not the least in Napoli. Again it’s the third attempt. But now we will see only 1 girl on the stage. Interesting fact: the song was written by the same musician as Ayona Lanskaya’s winning entry for Belarussian NF (but not for ESC itself!)
10 – sounds nice to me. Yes, very Zlata Ognievich. Napoli would be a good representer of Belarus in Stockholm. But it’s not my personal winner.
We’re on the last song already! And what on Earth is she wearing?!
So we are waiting for the start of televoting and watching Belarussian ads 😉
Navi is the best for me, Radiovolna is the runner-up!
Navi got a special award from one of the sponsors (Alfa-bank)
Televoting starts now!
1 vote costs 4800 bel. rubles which is 0.21 euro. funfact
Napoli is the leader so far, We will watch updates from time to time
Alyona Lanskaya on stage, do you remember this pretty lady?
Napoli in the lead? Ok…
Napoli seem to be in the lead with 4,000 votes over the second placed Kirill!
Sasha Nemo is on the stage. He was the member of the national jury at the preselection.
Another quick recap of the 10 songs now
15 mins left! Vote, Belarus, vote!
6 times finalist Gunesh. There were several jokes about it from the hosts.
Ivan takes the lead now!!
about 200 votes between them
Gunesh to Eurovision? She is better than most of the tonight participants
Katy with a brand new hit. Even a UK site was mentioned. I’m not sure if it’s true or joke…
Televoting will be closed soon and we will know the winner!
3 ..2..1! Stop voting!
The hosts are a bit confused…
Ivan goes to Stockholm!
So listen once again to the song #4 for Eurovision 2016! We want your opinions 🙂
