The Romanian national broadcaster TVR has just announced the details regarding their Eurovision selection – Selectia Nationala!

Selectia Nationala 2016 will consist of several phases – first of all, TVR will be accepting songs starting from the 18th of January, until the 7th of February. After this period, a special jury will listen through all of the submitted songs, and select the 12 best ones which will proceed to the televised semi finals. The 12 qualifiers will be announced on the 11th of February.

During the semi final, a professional jury will select the best four songs to proceed to the Grand Final, while televoting will select two additional finalists, making it a Final of six. The semi final will take place on Friday, 4th of March, while the Grand Final will be taking place on the 6th of March. In the Grand Final, the winner will be chosen via televoting only.

All artists, Romanian or foreign, are welcome to enter their songs for this national selection!

Last year Voltaj represented Romania with their song “De la capat”, which ended up in 15th place.
