Unofficially: 70 songs submitted to Polish National Final

Polish Television has closed the submission period before National Final scheduled for 5th March in Warsaw. According to JastrzabPost and based on sources close to TVP, almost 70 songs have been submitted. The number of applications is rather low but we have to take into consideration that Polish (and international) artists had only one and a half week to prepare their Eurovision entries.

JastrzabPost’s source confirmed Margaret submitted her “energetic” song in last minutes today. Popular pop-singer was not sure if she should apply but decided to deliever her entry to TVP. She is well-known in local music industry thanks her hits such as “Thank you very much”, “Wasted”, “Start a Fire” or “Heartbeat”. Worth to mention her first hit-single has been composed by Swedish producers and it’s also rumored Arash (ESC 2009) co-wrote her song for Polish National Final this year.

Michal Szpak (runner-up of “X-Factor”) confirmed he submitted “Color of your life”. Kasia Nova will fight for Stockholm with “Love is Music” submitted by American Label from Los Angeles. She finished second last in Polish National Final 2008 with “The Devil”. Finalist of first season of “Pop Idol” talent-show Szymon Wydra wants to do Eurovision as well. Among other candidates we should mention Monika Urlik (participant of “The Voice”), Hubert Centkowski, Belarussian band Aura or Twinseed.

BREAKING NEWS: Edyta Gorniak (ESC 1994) confirmed to RMF FM that she submits her entry “Grateful” for Polish National Final 2016!

Polish National Final will take place in Warsaw on 5th March at 21:25 CET. Finalists list should be published until 16th February and the videoclips will be available from 1st March.
