Who wants to participate in Polish National Final?
Until the end of this week Polish Television accepts the songs from local and international artists who would like to participate in National Final and represent Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. After unexpected announement from TVP1 director Jan Pawlicki, fans started to send the invitation to almost all popular and unknown singers and bands to encourage them to apply for National Final. Some of them already revealed their plans. Many relatively unknown participants of several talent-shows such as “X Factor”, “The Voice” or “Must be the music” are ready to fight for Stockholm i.e. Marta Zalewska, Aleksandra Twardowska or Iza Kowalewska. Katarzyna Mos, participant of National Final 2006 with “I wanna know” said she submitted her new song “Addiction” to TVP. According to Facebook post Michal Szpak is still uncertain if he should take part in National Final.
Renata Wolkiewicz, finalist of “The Voice of Russia” could be one of the most interesting act in National Final if her song will qualify. She became famous after her successful adventure in Russian talent-show where she managed to impressed Polina Gagarina and other mentors. Renata is now working on her song for National Final in Poland – she confirmed it via her Facebook profile.

What about previous Eurovision entrants? Cleo (2014) and Marcin Mrozinski (2010) confirmed they won’t take part in National Final. Today Edyta Gorniak (1994) posted the Eurovision logo on her Facebook profile and asked:
I need to know how you feel about it ? ..Xx

Worth to mention Edyta Gorniak wanted to represent Poland last year in Vienna but TVP selected Monika Kuszynska and her ballad “In the name of love” which finished 23rd in the Grand Final of Eurovision 2015. Gorniak said that she will publish her song as a bonus on her new album which is yet to be released. Would she be brave enough to participate in the National Final? Edyta was the first act to represent Poland in the Eurovision back in 1994 and finished second with “To nie ja”.
TVP will accept submissions until 8th February and the final participants list should be revealed not later than 16th February. The National Final is scheduled for 5th March in Warsaw. The winner will be selected via 100% televoting only.
