Montenegro: Highway premiered “The Real Thing”

Tonight saw the premiere of the Montenegrin entry for Eurovision 2016. The internally selected boy band Highway presented “The Real Thing” in a two-hour long live musical entertainment show broadcast by RTCG from the coastal town of Becici.

The band formation consists of the lead singer Petar Tosic, back-up vocalists Marko Pesic and Luka Vojvodic, and the keyboardist Bojan Jovovic, who has seen the face of Eurovision before. Namely, Bojan Jovovic was a member of the band No Name, who represented Serbia and Montenegro with “Zauvijek moja” back in 2005.

The group Highway became popular after finishing fourth in the Balkan-wide talent show X Factor Adria 2015.

“The Real Thing” was composed by Srdjan Sekulovic Skansi, Maro Market and Luka Vojvodic. The song was recorded a few months ago in Zagreb, whereas the video was filmed in Belgrade. Director Julian Wood said that the concept planned for the stage in Stockholm will be on the same lines as in the video.

Tonight’s presentation show saw also this year’s representatives from Bosnia-Herzegovina Deen & Dalal feat. Ana Rucner and Jala singing “Ljubav je”.

As a reminder, Montenegro will perform in the second part of the first semi-final, scheduled on 10th of May.
