Molly Pettersson Hammar to sing backing vocals for Malta!

At the London Eurovision Party a few weeks ago, Ira Losco revealed to ESC Bubble that she will be joined on stage by a dancer and four backing singers, and today, the names of who these will be were confirmed. Alongside Ira and her previously announced dancer, Skorpion, who appears in the video to ‘Walk on Water’, will be Anna Azzopardi and Pamela Bezzina from Malta and Lars Safsund and Molly Pettersson Hammar from Sweden.

Molly, of course is known to fans as she has participated in Melodifestivalen twice, in 2015 with ‘I’ll Be Fine’ and in 2016 with ‘Hunger’ – and of course, she also co-wrote ‘Walk on Water’. If you listen closely you can also hear Molly’s backing vocals on the studio version of the song!

Lars will also be singing backing vocals for Cyprus and Georgia, and between them, Anna and Pamela have multiple national final participations between them. So, it’s a very experienced team behind Ira!

The team are all now in Malta rehearsing for their live performance and will head out to Stockholm in just a few days time. Ira posted this status update on her Facebook page today:

Rehearsals are underway and intense as ever. Obviously I am not as active as usual on my Facebook, I have no time to chat or converse as I usually try to. You all know I love keeping contact with you all, but please please excuse me and make a bit of an allowance for me this month. I will try to catch up and answer all your questions and keep contact with you. Right now it’s all about focusing on THE MOST important thing which is my 3 minutes on stage in Stockholm. I am completely zoned out from ANYTHING else and am giving all my attention to this experience, which also happens to be my job hehehe…
