The winner of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, Jamala, is one of the headliners of the Alfa Jazz Fest, international jazz festival which will be taking place in Lviv Ukraine at the end of this month.
Jamala will hold a concert at the Alfa Jazz Fest on the 28th of June at the main stage, which is named after Eddie Rosner, and her concert will be dedicated to the Day of Constitution of Ukraine. Jamala has prepared a unique program called “The Soul of Jamala”, especially for this festival, and it will consist of two parts – in the first one, Jamala will perform songs from different years (jazz songs and Crimean Tatar folk songs) and will be joined by a jazz quartet, while in the second part she will perform songs from her newest album “Breathe”, which was released last year.
Tickets for the festival are priced between 100 and 300 UAH (3.5 – 10 EUR), and television station M1 will broadcast the festival. A Youtube broadcast is also to be expected.
This May Jamala won the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with her song “1944”, and she also won a Marcel Bezencon award for the best performance. Give a listen to her winning song once again:
