Anja Nissen wins Dansk Melodi Grand Prix and will represent Denmark in Kyiv!

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix has just finished in Herning and its Anja Nissen who has won and will go onto represent Denmark in Kyiv in May with the song “Where I am”.

10 acts performed but only the top 3 made it through to the Superfinal to get the chance to sing once more in the hope of impressing the jury and the voters at home.

Anja Nissen performed strongly and proceeded to the superfinal where they were joined by Ida and Johanna. Anja had the edge however and takes the ticket to Ukraine! Anja won with a huge 64% of the vote from the superfinal, Ida was 2nd with 26% and Johanna 3rd with 10%.

Anja came 2nd in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in 2016, and has done one better this year, congratulations Anja!

Denmark will perform in the first half of the 2nd Semi final and will hope to qualify to the final for the first time since 2013, their winning year!
