Listen to the instrumental version of “My Friend” by Jacques Houdek!

The Croatian Eurovision portal eurosong.hr has published the instrumental version of Jacques Houdek’s Eurovision entry “My Friend”.

As we previously informed, Jacques Houdek is going to be singing the song “My Friend” at Eurovision 2017 in Kiev, and he will be joined on stage by a violinist, a cellist, and three strong backing vocalists. We also know that Jacques is going to perform his song in two languages.

He just published the instrumental version of his Eurovision entry, and he stated the following about his song:

It’s a magic game of two string instruments, which culminates in the intermezzo that intrigued the public in the short clip which we previously published, and it actually describes the musical theme of this song that celebrates life, love and friendship. Our top musicians, Antun Stasic (violin) and Neven Sverko (cello), with their virtuoso performance, managed to evoke the message of the song and the vision that my colleagues Sinisa Reljic, Tony Malm and myself had when we were were writing the music. The listener can now experience all that in this brilliant instrumental, not hearing a single line of the lyrics. The melody takes us through life’s ups and downs through which we all go through despite our differences. Life is a miracle and life wins, as one of my favorite lines in this song says!

The full version of the song will be released on the 2nd of March. In the meanwhile, give a listen to the instrumental version of “My Friend” here:
