Salvador Sobral – finalist of Festival da Cancao, hospitalized!

Salvador Sobral, one of the four finalists selected in the first semi final of Festival da Cancao has been hospitalized today, and awaits a umbilical hernia surgery tomorrow.

It has been revealed today that Salvador Sobral competed in the first semi final of Festival da Cancao with a serious health problem. Media and fans in the studio, as well as the fans on social media were discussing the bad physical appearance and the extreme thinness of Salvador. During the show, Salvador Sobral was wearing a broad shirt and, at a closer look, a protrusion in his abdominal area was noticeable.

The manager of Salvador has confirmed that he already had this health problem before the show, but that the situation got worse due to a fissure that broke, and the singer will undergo a surgery already tomorrow. They also confirmed that he wore a wide shirt to disguise the abdominal volume, since the hernia was already in a state of advanced development.

Salvador finished in second place in the first semi final after winning the jury vote, and finishing third in televoting. He should be fully recovered by the time of the Final of Festival da Cancao, where he will be performing his song “Amar pelos dois” once again.
