Moscow Eurovision Party suspended!

Up until today, a total of 11 acts were confirmed to take part at Moscow’s annual Eurovision Preview Party, which was going to take place on the 21st of April in the Vegas City Hall in Moscow. However, due to the uncertainty of Russia participating at this year’s Eurovision, and the attack in St. Petersburg, artists started to pull out from this event. As a result of this, the organizers of the Moscow Eurovision Party have suspended this year’s event.

Nine acts competing at this year’s Eurovision – Artsvik, Demy, Dihaj, Francesco Gabbani, Imri, Kristian Kostov, Sunstroke Project, Timebelle and Yulia Samoilova, as well as two special guests – Teo and Tolmachevy Sisters have confirmed their participation in this year’s Moscow Eurovision Party. Due to the recent Eurovision conflicts between Ukraine and Russia, the uncertainty of Russia’s participation in Kiev, as well as yesterday’s attack in the St. Petersburg metro, a number of acts pulled back from the event, stating that they would only take part should Russia participate and/or vote in this year’s Eurovision.

The organisers of the Moscow Eurovision Party have stopped selling tickets for this event, and suspended it. They stated that should Yulia Samoilova be able to compete in Kyiv, or should Russia be given the right to vote in this year’s competition, the event will still take place.

Stay tuned for more information to come.
