Ana Kodra wins Festivali i Këngës për Fëmijë – wants to sing for Albania at Junior Eurovision 2017!

Several sources are reporting that the 55th edition of Festivali i Këngës për Fëmijë (Song Festival for Children) has been held in the Albanian city of Shkodër yesterday. Just like last year, when Klesta Qehaja won with ‘Besoj’, the winner of this festival that has been running since 1993, could represent Albania at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the winning song. The same sources are reporting Ana will represent Albania this year, but this turns out not to be confirmed yet. Yesterday’s winner was Ana Kodra with ‘Mos ma prekni pemën’ (English: Don’t Touch My Tree).

‘Mos ma prekni pemën’ was composed by Kristi Popës and had its lyrics written by Jorgo Papingjit.

A live recording of Ana performing the song at the festival can be seen here:

When a better quality audio recording becomes available, we will let you know!

Ana Kodra has a great desire to sing for Albania and if she gets her wish granted, she will be representing Albania at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi on November 26.
