Tonight Malta have held their selection in order to choose the artist who will be representing them at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Ten singers were singing covers and these were the contestants and their songs:

1. Rianne Demicoli – Satellite
2. Demi Galea – Breathing Underwater
3. Aidan Jay Drakard – Mad World
4. Kylie Meilak – I Believe – Fantasia
5. Gianluca Cilia – Perdere l’amore
6. Veronica Rotin – And I Am Telling You
7. Riona Degiorgio – True Colors
8. Kira Copperstone – The Voice Within
9. Jahel Cardona – One Night Only
10. Thea Aquilina – This is a Man’s World

After all the singers performed their songs, the voting lines were opened and those were also the only votes that decided tonight’s result. The top 3 was as following:

1. Gianluca Cilia
2. Rianne Demicoli
3. Veronica Rotin

The song with which Gianluca will represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 will be revealed at a later stage. The contest itself will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia, on the 26th of November this year.
