HRT confirms that Croatia will take part in Eurovision 2018!

The Croatian national broadcaster HRT has just confirmed to eurosong.hr, the Croatian Eurovision portal, that they are going to be taking part in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in Lisbon next May.

After the comeback last year, and two qualifications for the Grand Final (finishing in 23rd place in 2016 with Nina Kraljic and her “Lighthouse”, and finishing in 13th place this year with Jacques Houdek’s “My Friend”), HRT confirmed that they will be taking part in Eurovision next year as well. The method they are going to use for selecting the song and the artist who will represent Croatia in Portugal is yet to be announced.

Croatia will mark its 24th entry in Eurovision 2018 in Portugal. Their best result is still 4th place with Maja Blagdan’s “Sveta ljubav” from 1996 and Doris Dragovic’s “Marija Magdalena” from 1999. Who would you like to see representing Croatia in Eurovision 2018 in Lisbon? Let us know in the comments.
