Eurovision Young Musicians 2018 to be held in Edinburgh!

The EBU have announced earlier today that Edinburgh will host Eurovision Young Musicians 2018. The 19th edition of the contest will be hosted by BBC Scotland.

The 2018 edition will be the first time the Eurovision Young Musicians has been held in Scotland as well as being the first time that the Contest has returned to the UK since the first edition was held in Manchester in 1982.

The last edition of the contest took place in Cologne in 2016. Poland’s Lukasz Dyczko won the competition, performing Waignein’s ‘Rhapsody pour Saxophone alto’. Robert Bílý, representing the Czech Republic, finished in second place whilst Dominik Wagner representing Austria finished third.
