The Montenegrin national broadcaster RTCG has just opened the call for songs for Montevizija 2018! All interested parties have 45 days to apply with their songs, in order to become Montenegro’s entry in Eurovision 2018, to be held in Lisbon, Portugal.

Authors from all over the world are welcome to send their songs in for Montevizija 2018, however – one author can apply with no more than two songs. Apart from the standard Eurovision rules, the following rules also apply:

• The lyrics of the songs must be in Montenegrin
• Once applied, the authors have no rights to withdraw from the competition, and their materials are not going to be sent back to them
• Applications are sent in anonymously, with a five digit code
• You need to send your song on a USB or a CD, and put it in a big white envelope, together with five copies of the lyrics of the song you are entering. This big envelope should also contain a smaller envelope with the names of all of the authors, and details of the registration of the song. This second envelope is going to be opened in case the song makes it through to the second listening of the entered songs
• The artists have to be citizens of the Republic of Montenegro
• You need to send your application to the following address:

  and you need to write your five digit code on the back of the envelope.

A special jury will be appointed to listen through all of the songs, and they will be giving them points in the following way:

• music – up to 50 points
• lyrics – up to 30 points
• potential quality of the production – up to 20 points

which means that a song can score a maximum of 100 points. The songs which score the most points are the ones which will be selected for the televised show Montevizija 2018.

RTCG reserves the right to ask for adjustments, or request an artist change for any of the submitted entries.
