Saara Aalto working with ‘Heroes’ writer Linnea Deb

Saara Aalto has announced she’s on her way to selecting the three songs she’ll take to Finland‘s National Final ‘Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu’ on 3rd March next year, working with Linnea Deb, co-writer of the 2015 winning song ‘Heroes’.

Announcing on Twitter Saara wrote, “Have written 4 amazing songs with @linneadeb”. Saara seemed excited about the new songs and wrote, “We just can’t fail together”.

Linnea Deb has also shared photos of her and Saara together in the studio.

When Saara was confirmed as Finland’s artist for Eurovision 2018, broadcaster YLE revealed that Saara’s three songs would be performed at the National Final ‘Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu’. The Finnish public and an international jury will then vote to choose the winning song.

Linnea Deb has lots of experience in both the Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision, writing songs such as ‘Heroes’ by Manz Zelmerlow, aswell as ‘Dont worry’ by Ace Wilder which featured in the 2016 trailer for the film ‘Bridget Jones’ Baby’.Linnea has also written songs for a host of other singers such as Robin Stjernberg, Molly Patterson Hammar, aswell as the song ‘Statements’ by Loreen.
