Hovig will represent Cyprus in Kiev!

The first participant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is known!
Cypriot broadcaster CyBC just announced that Hovig Demirjian will be representing Cyprus in Kiev in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest with a song by Thomas G:son. G:son has been responsible for several Eurovision entries among which Listen To Your Heartbeat, Invincible and Euphoria (Sweden 2001, 2006 and 2012), In A Moment Like This (Denmark 2010) and Quedate Conmigo (Spain 2012). He also wrote last year’s Cypriot entry, ”Alter Ego”, performed by Minus One.

Hovig is a Cypriot singer of Armenian origin who is best known to the Greek and Cypriotic audience for participating in the second cycle of X Factor Greece, it was the same season Ivi Adamou (Cyprus 2012) participated in! Hovig has already participated in the Cypriot national selections in 2010 and in 2015 with the song ”Stone in a River”.
The song he will be participating in Kiev with will be released at a later date.
