Cyprus comes back with a big national final

After pulling out from the Contest this year, Cyprus will be back in 2015! CyBC, in collaboration with MadTV Cyprus are preparing a big national final with three rounds.

All Cypriots living in Cyprus or abroad are welcome to enter the national selection. Foreign composers are also welcome to submit their songs to the selection, as long as they are collaborating with at least one Cypriot composer as well.

The national selection will start with televised auditions, followed by a number of semi finals, a second chance round, and a final. The winner of each semi final will qualify for the final, while the runner-ups will qualify for the second chance round. The top two in the second chance round will qualify for the final, where the winner will be selected by a mix of 50-50% jury voting and televotes.

You can read the rules and regulations of the national selection in full right here. (in Greek only)

The last time Cyprus held an open national selection was in 2010, when Jon Lilygreen & The Islanders won with “Life Looks Better In Spring”, and finished 21st in the Eurovision Final.
