After last year’s 18th place with Elaiza, Germany will again choose their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest with the same format, under the name Unser Song für Österreich.

The German broadcaster NDR has unveiled that the national final will be divided in two events: a Club concert (on February 9) and a proper final in Hanover on March 5.

The Club concert will give an opportunity to an emerging artist to participate along with other seven already known artists in the final evening. Applicants can enter on this website with a video of them singing an original or a cover song.

The seven artists participating in the final will be presented in January.

Elaiza, last year’s entrant, participated as an entrant to the Club concert with the song “Is it right?”, before winning the national final and representing Germany in Copenhagen.
