Conchita will present “Heroes” on Wetten dass..?

The long wait of the fans will soon come to an end! Half a year after winning the Eurovision Song Contest, Conchita Wurst will introduce her new single “Heroes” on 8th November at the last but one edition of “Wetten, dass ..?” in Graz, Austria, she said to APA. Regrettably, she didn’t want to reveal much about her single. “The song sounds very cool. I wasn’t aware that I could sound so well.”, she said.

“My interpretation of this song will sound nothing like ‘Rise Like A Phoenix'”, Conchita continued. However, it will not be the “great movie soundtrack” she mentioned she might release as her first official single. “There will be no huge orchestra involved”, said the singer who is now opening doors to a completely different genre. “I was surprised about the fact that I can sound so cool”, she further explained. So far, no hints about what the song will sound like have leaked out. Even so, Conchita did post her autograph on a black background with “#ConchitaHEROES – 8 November 2014” written underneath it on her Facebook page.

Plans to release her first album are made for next year. “I would have wished that I could release it sooner, but due to lack of time, it won’t be feasible”, said Conchita, who will be performing at the Parisian legendary varieté club Crazy Horse as of 9th November. After that, Conchita will go back to the studio, where she plans to spend most of December, recording songs.

For those who want to continue collecting CDs with Conchita’s songs can do so already this week. Her song “My Lights”, written by songwriter and producer Axel Wolph for this year’s “Licht ins Dunkel” campaign, will be published on Friday, 24th October.

Here is a little teaser:
