Only a couple of weeks ago, Conchita Wurst performed and spoke in the European Parliament in Brussels, as part of an event supporting equality, and being against discrimination. Now the United Nations have announced that Conchita is going to be performing on Monday at the UN headquarters in Vienna.

Ban Ki-moon, who is the Secretary-General of the United Nations, will meet with Conchita during his stay in Vienna. His spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric, said that everyone is entitled to enjoy the same basic rights and live a life of worth and dignity without discrimination. They also added that meeting Conchita Wurst will allow them to reassert the support for LGBT people and for them to ensure that they enjoy the same human rights and protection that everyone does.

Conchita’s performance at the UN Headquarters in Vienna is scheduled for this coming Monday, the 3rd of November.
