ORF chooses a new coaching team
The coaching team for the Austrian national selection for Eurovision 2015 has been changed. The new team includes The BossHoss, Nazar and Anna F., who will accompany and support the participants on their journey to get a ticket for the Grand Prix next May.
Alongside Anna F., the Austrian rapper Nazar and the German band The BossHoss will also provide assistance and give the participants singing tips whilst going through different stages of the Austrian national selection. This brings a slight change to the members of the coaching team, as it was previously mentioned that Alex Deutsch would be the one accompanying Anna F. in the coaching process.
The national final will kick off on 20th February 2015, and it will consist of four shows that will be aired on ORF1. Only the final show, which will take place on 13th March 2015, will be aired live. The previous three shows will be shown on ORF1 on 20th February, 27th February and 6th March 2015, respectively.
In the first show, 16 artists (solo artists and bands) will perform songs in different genres in front of an audience and an expert jury (set up of producers, record company executives and Eurovision experts). Six artist will be chosen to go to the second round, thus coming one step closer to performing in Stadthalle next May. The six top acts will be given the chance to impress the Austrian public with their talents in the following three shows.
Who will represent Austria in the 60th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will be decided at the fourth, live show, where the general public and the jury will have the chance to choose their favourite artist.
Alex Deutsch is still very much involved. He was never supposed to be a coach in the shows themselves – but he was responsible for the scouting process of the artists.
