Finally, the day we have been waiting for is here; the Icelandic preselection to Eurovision Song Contest will kick off with the first of two semifinals.

Tonight’s semifinal will give us the first three finalists, but that doesn’t mean all hope is lost for the ones who don’t qualify directly. After next week’s semi, a jury will hand out one wildcard, and that might of course also be given to one of tonight’s songs.

Tonight’s running order is as follows;

3. Elín Sif – Í kvöld – To vote, call 900-9903
4. Friðrik Dór – Í siðasta skipti – To vote, call 900-9904
5. Stefanía Svavars – Augnablik – To vote, call 900-9905
6. Björn og félagar – Piltur og stúlka – To vote, call 900-9906

You may only vote if you have an Icelandic sim and are in Iceland tonight. The hosts of tonight’s show are Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir, Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir and Salka Sól Eyfeld.
