The Portuguese national broadcaster has revealed the first information about their national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, the well-known Festival da Cancao.

RTP has announced that they will invite 12 composers to enter a song each in this contest, and unlike last year, all 12 composers are going to be Portuguese, and some of them will have already had a song in Festival da Cancao in the past years.

The exact date, and the entire format of Festival da Cancao 2015 has not been revealed yet, but this national selection will take place at the beginning of March. Suzy won this festival last year with “Quero ser tua”, and unfortunately didn’t manage to qualify for the Grand Final in Copenhagen.
